We're Here to Help

Finding free and reliable resources can be overwhelming. This page outlines some of PEACE of Mind's favorite resources and programs. Use these to learn ways to become a mental health ally, take care of yourself, and stay educated!

Resources

YBS was created by Angela Cirelli, a PEACE of Mind founder. The free, youth-focused, health & wellness website/app is centered upon community; it allows users to track healthy habits, empower and hold each other accountable, and access helpful resources. The YBS motto is, "We bring our real selves and become our best selves."

YTH's page lists various mental health resources, as well as a brief summary of what they do. "These resources provide information on current mental health clinical trials, tools for educators, and free access to publications that focus on adolescent mental health"

MHGN allows you to book mental health trainings live on zoom, asyncronoysly online, or in-person. They offer various certifications and training programs, or you can build one that best suits you and your team. The PEACE of Mind team especially loves their mental health first aid kits, available for purchase on their website!

NAMI offers mental health trainings for various demographics. There are different resources for advocacy, statistics, and support groups. You can learn about warning signs and symptoms, research, and treatment.

The Trevor Project is a great resource for the mental health of LGBTQ+ youth. Their site is great for viewing statistics, learning about how to support various LGBTQ+ demographics, and recognizing warning signs.

The Buddy Project was created in 2013 as a program to help prevent suicide. The organization matches up "buddies" to create a community of support and compassion. Show your support with some of the merch on their site!

Dr. Widian is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in both youth and adult counceling. Nicola Counseling Services includes individual therapy, couples therapy, and immigration evaluations. "No matter where the journey has taken you, all are welcome here." PEACE of Mind has partnered with Dr. Widian in the past, and we highly recommend her services.

Catholic Charities provides affordable Catholic counseling services across the country. These services vary in topic, offering a variety of helpful resources.

TWLOHA is a great organization that emphasizes the importance of mental health. This page includes various on-the-go self care practices. If you explore around the site, there are other available resources for finding help and learning about mental health.

TWLOHA: Between the Bells is a week-long program for high schoolers to help them "spark authentic conversations about mental health" and let students know they aren't alone. Currently, students can bring this program to their school at no cost.
